Medical Assistant
We are looking for a strong experienced Medical Assistant to join our team!

Job Summary:
Medical Assistant must demonstrate a strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical abbreviations, medical allergies, medications, HIPAA compliance, medical diagnoses, and surgical procedures. Needs to have the ability to read and interpret medical orders/protocols and diagnostic test results. Needs the ability to work with the physician and/or physician assistant in handling and resolving complex patient matters. Needs the ability to work under the direction of a physician, on a team and independently. Needs the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities and work styles. Needs the ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change. Possess exceptional independent, critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions and solve problems in assigned work area. Coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling to include pre-operative testing, cardiac/medical clearances, and patient education.

Duties Include:
– Rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining and documenting patient history, updating patient information in the chart/ EMR, assist with procedures.
– Triage all nursing messages with proper documentation.
– Manage patient flow.
– Restock exam rooms, manage supplies.

Education:
High School graduate or equivalent. MA graduate of an approved school. Maintains current national credentialing. Maintain Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) Certification.
Experience: 1-2 years medical office experience preferred. New graduates are welcome, training can be provided. MUST have an MA training/certificate i

Skills:
Excellent Computer proficiency. Must be able to type at least 40 wpm with accurate grammar and spelling.
