Dr. Fabian A. Ramos, the founder of the Ramos Center for Interventional and Functional Pain Medicine, was honored with the 2018 Community Health Advocacy Award by the Sarasota Medical Alliance Foundation and Society.
Presented by Erin Lilly, the President of the Sarasota Medical Alliance Foundation & Society, Dr. Ramos received the award on June 8, 2018, in recognition of his outstanding work in the field.
The Sarasota Medical Alliance Foundation and Society recognizes a few individuals or organizations every year whose health-related initiatives and volunteer organizations make a significant impact on the Sarasota County community.
Dr. Ramos was selected for his contribution to the Drug-Free Sarasota Physician Advocate Award Program, which focuses on educating Sarasota’s doctors about the opioid epidemic and sharing the latest information.
Dr. Ramos expressed his gratitude for the award on behalf of his doctors and staff, who work tirelessly to help patients in the best possible way. The Ramos Center is committed to combating the opioid crisis by implementing comprehensive programs that include screening, monitoring, behavioral and physical therapies, and high-level interventional treatments.
