Dr. Fabian Ramos founded the Ramos Center for Interventional & Functional Pain Medicine in 2000 in Bradenton, FL. Although we have outgrown our original office space and expanded to additional locations, the vision has never changed. We provide our community with advanced modalities and highly specialized, minimally invasive, interventions to help relieve their chronic pain and get them back to living normal, productive lives.
Over the past two decades, we have expanded to nine offices and over 20 physicians and advanced practitioners. We are the most comprehensive pain management practice on the west coast of Florida, and we are always looking for likeminded people to join our team and carry out our vision. Job Description
Medical Assistants (MA) are directly involved in ensuring that the Ramos Center always delivers focused and empathetic patient care. As a true people person, the medical assistant thrives in the healthcare environment as they greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival.
Responsibilities
Medical Assistants prepare patients to see the physician by preparing examination and procedure rooms and obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. MA’s assist the provider in Scribing, Documenting intake, Physical exam, and formulating a Care Plan. MA’s will perform some administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients as well as managing the necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. While maintaining a calming presence for our patients, MA’s also assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Customer service experience (Preferred)
· Current FL LPN License OR Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (preferred)
· Current CPR Certification-Knowledge of HIPAA-Clinical Experience (preferred)
· Medical Office (a plus)
· Scribing experience (a plus)
· High level of INITIATIVE (a plus)
· Ability to travel to other Ramos Center Locations PRN (will discuss further at interview)
· Bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
· Drug-Free Workplace. *Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen*
