On August 2nd, 2021, the Ramos Center for Interventional & Functional Pain Medicine inaugurated their new office in Port Charlotte, FL, marking their second expansion of the year and fifth overall. The new office is situated at 3005 Caring Way, close to Fawcett Memorial Hospital and Bayfront Health Port Charlotte. Dr. Stephen Smith, a board-certified Interventional Pain Specialist, will share his time between the Port Charlotte office and the Venice and Englewood locations where he currently treats Ramos Center patients. Initially, the office will operate on a part-time basis and have one procedure room. However, they plan to expand to a full-time schedule and add Physical Therapy and an extra procedure room by early 2022. Founded over 20 years ago by Dr. Fabian A. Ramos, DABA, DABPM, DABIPP, FIPP, the Ramos Center for Interventional and Functional Pain Medicine offers a wide range of state-of-the-art treatment options to relieve chronic pain. Their services include Medical and Interventional procedures, Cognitive Behavioral and Hypnotherapy, and Physical Therapy. To expand their multi-modality approach to treating chronic pain, the Ramos Center opened a second office location in Sarasota, FL in 2005, followed by a third office location in Venice, FL in January of 2019. They continued their southern expansion into Englewood, FL in January of 2021.
